Volunteer Opportunity of The Month
Fundraising Committee Member for Perfect Pairing "The Gift of Independence Event"
If you are interested in being part of a great team, having tons of fun, and achieving results? Or if you are an outgoing individual with an easy personality, willing to pitch in and get the job done? This is the volunteer opportunity for you!
Perfect Pairing is an event to raise funds for the Transportation department.
The CCS Transportation Program is extraordinary: 30,000+ rides annually to seniors and those with disabilities who would otherwise be cut off from their community’s activities and services. CCS Transportation is the lifeline to thousands of people in Caledon who are too easy to forget in an enormous geographical area that has absolutely no public transportation. CCS wheelchair buses and volunteer drivers are the first call for many who need to get to dialysis, medical appointments, day programs, weekly shopping and/or regular visits with their families. Without accessibility, independence is lost.
Time commitment is now until and including the event date, Saturday May 26th, 2012.
This position is of interest to those pursuing a career in event management, office administration, and community relations, or for anyone interested in applying their organizational skills to the success of vital community events. Build your resume as well as your personal network and interpersonal skills!
