Senior Supportive Housing
A Story of Compassion
“Caledon Community Services provided around the clock in-home care to our aunt who recently succumbed to the ravages of cancer. She received many visits each day and her diet and medication were monitored promptly and efficiently by CCS staff.
We were comforted with the knowledge that through the efforts of these professional and caring people, she was allowed to spend as much time as possible in the comfort of her own home.”
Supportive Housing
Seniors living in six Peel Living buildings receive 24.7.365 assistance with personal care, bathing, laundry, meals and emergency “Lifeline” response. An additional building at 20 Walker Road, Caledon East, offers care 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. seven days a week.
More than 180 seniors receive the support they need to remain independent and age in the comfort of their homes. Our direct services are complimented by case management, referrals and transportation services, all in an effort to preserve clients’ health and well-being.
A strong and extremely capable group of professional Personal Support Workers, Caseworkers and volunteers assist with a variety of personal needs as well as many interesting activation programs. The Supportive Housing program also works closely with PSW students from Humber, Sheridan and Georgian Colleges.
