Calling All Youth Ages 15 – 30
Earn $$$ While You Learn!
LIFE for Youth is a paid six-month program that provides an opportunity to gain employability and life skills through innovative classroom instruction and various in-house work placements. Add to this an external work placement with an employer in the Caledon community and this program is a tremendous opportunity for Caledon’s youth! Throughout the program, participants receive supportive job coaching and gain the ability to successfully discover their marketable skills. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a $500.00 completion bonus!
Youth aged 15 - 30 who are out of school, in need of assistance to overcome employment challenges, Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents and not in receipt of Employment Insurance are eligible.

The LIFE for Youth Graduation ceremony, held July 20th, celebrated the participants’ completion of the program. In attendance were 20 graduates, family and friends along with Caledon employers and CCS staff. Participants shared their personal stories as well as enjoyed speeches from MP David Tilson, Ward 5 Area Councillor Rob Mezzapelli, Staples General Manager, Dan Dugre and LIFE for Youth Program Manager Mary Falcone. Being the 4th graduation ceremony of the LIFE program, participants received completion graduation certificates from MP David Tilson, Mary Falcone and Joanne Huggins-Bailey. A heart-felt "Thank You" to our community employers for their participation and support:

On August 13 2009, CCS LIFE for Youth students organized the first annual Business Attire Fashion Show. The event showcased a wide variety of outfits and encouraged proper clothing for the workplace. The fashion show was held at the CCS Eco-Store, Chez Thrift, and featured over 40 outfits, all of which were purchased from Chez Thrift and under $30.
