Caledon Community Services has long been concerned about affordable housing in our community. We work with many individuals and families who make Caledon their home, people who want to work, go to school, earn a living and raise a family in Caledon.
Some of these people are on limited incomes and seek affordable housing that fits within their budget. This Housing Registry serves to bring landlords and tenants together when there is the potential to match a single person or family with a property that is on the rental market. The Housing Registry acts as a "matchmaker" of sorts, providing landlords with a free listing of their rental and tenants with immediate access to information about rental units within Caledon.
The Housing Registry will soon be expanded to offer additional information for prospective landlords and tenants. For now though, it is a free rental listing for a landlord and a free search tool for a tenant.
Caledon Community Services assumes no responsibilities for establishing or supporting any rental contract between a landlord or a tenant. These are private arrangements and tenants are instructed to reach landlords who have listed their rentals on this Housing Registry via the contact information that they've provided in their listing.
We are working to create a menu of services within our Housing Registry for both landlords and tenants. These services will support our community in creating appropriate, safe and affordable housing for those who make Caledon their home and are searching for the right rental accommodations.
