Donations
CCS Stores diverted close to one million pounds of gently-used goods from Caledon landfills. By donating your gently-used items at our stores, you can greatly lower your ecological footprint. As an added bonus, all money that is generated at these stores go back into the community and fund important programs and services.

Chez Thrift will gladly accept:
- All gently-used clothing for men, women, children, baby clothing- Shoes, boots, bags & purses, new nylons and socks
- Hats, backpacks and caps
- Small housewares (i.e. dishes, vases, glasses, candle holders, gift sets – everything but appliances)
- Drapes, linens, comforters, quilts, decorative pillows, towels, etc.
- Videos and books
- Any art work, pictures, picture frames, photo albums,
- Knitting materials, wool, patterns, craft supplies
Unfortunately, furniture items are not accepted at Chez Thrift. However, they will gladly be accepted at The ReUstore.
The ReUstore will gladly accept:
- Any furniture in sellable condition- Housewares and small appliances
- Electronics, CDs, VHS, DVDs, cassettes, records
- Books
- Toys
- Bed frames
- Bicycles
- Exercise equipment
- Lighting
- Lawnmowers and snow blowers, gardening equipment and tools
- Working fridges, stoves, washers and dryers - no dishwashers
- Decorations
- Building materials, doors, sinks, newer windows
- Antiques

Donations Not Accepted
It is very hard to say “No Thank You”
Our stores gladly accept gently-used items. Not only can Caledon residents reduce their ecological footprint, but they are also helping to support local programs and services. Unfortunately, there are certain items that we cannot accept. We may refuse an item if...
- The item is damaged (broken, missing parts, unsanitary, badly scratched, moldy, rusted, etc).- The item is on our list of Donations Not Accepted.
Please understand that we are unable to accept certain donations. We cannot dispose of these items for you. Please help us and the Caledon community by disposing of these items through the Region of Peel and not leaving them with us. Your support is appreciated.
- Mattresses
- Box Spring
- Sofa beds
- Computer Equipment that is not working or older then 5 years
- Gas Appliances
- TVs that are not working or older then 8 years
- Electronics that are not working
- Cabinet stereos
- Car seats
- Cribs
- Recalled toys
- Life jackets
- Used blinds
- Text books
- Any safety equipment that does not have C.S.A. Approval
- Guns or other weapons
- Wooden ladders
- Coloured toilets and bathroom sinks – we will accept white toilets
- Dishwashers
