"Chez Thrift is one of the best kept secrets in this entire community!”, says Stan Shabason, the Past Chair of Caledon Community Services. He’s challenging anyone to come up with a better secret that offers as many personal rewards and winning scenarios for Caledon as CCS' two eco-retail stores do. “Our stores are models of efficiency; everything about them is right from their profits being directed to community services to their eco-friendly formula!”
Shabason is extremely excited about the potential of Caledon Community Services’ stores, especially since Chez Thrift moved to its new location on Hwy 50. Chez Thrift specializes in gently-used clothing, toys, kitchen and household articles at bargain basement prices. There’s always a daily special and there’s always the ‘thrill of the find’, whether it be a gorgeous pair of jeans for $5, a vintage couture jacket for $8 or children’s clothing that has barely been used for a toonie per item”.

The shopping excitement never stops. Both stores offer a new auction every 3 weeks. Our antiques and collectibles are worth having a look at! Find that special piece of jewelry or bid on a fine antique table. Those are just some examples of what we offer in our auctions. For treasure hunters, you’ll definitely get the find. "I have learned so much while working at Chez Thrift. My personality completely changed as I went from a quiet and shy person, to a person that you can’t get to stop talking sometimes.
