Carine Strong
Carine has been a member of the CCS Board since 2005 and also serves as the Chair of the Organization’s Corporate Development Committee. She is a regular volunteer in Chez Thrift and has also taken on the job of Chair of the Gala Committee.
She has a 30-year history in progressively senior management positions in the field of Customer & Community Relations, Travel/Event Management and Communications, most recently with Husky.
Carine married her Canadian husband, the son of a Belgian war bride, and moved from Belgium to Bolton 30 years ago. She recalls how welcoming and caring this community was to her and wants to give back and make a difference for others. Carine has a wonderful daughter and when not caring for both of the loves of her life, she spends her spare time baking delicious cheesecakes and yummy cookies. She also enjoys entertaining guests with her Flemish cuisine but she is equally comfortable as the decorator/handyman of the house and can sling a hammer with the best of them.
