John Redmond

John is honoured to have been recently elected to the CCS Board of Directors. Having moved to Caledon in 1990, John believes it is now time to give back to the wonderful community he has called home and enjoyed for 20 years.

In his professional life, John has been an air traffic controller for 32 years, the last 22 of which have been at the Toronto International Control Tower. In this capacity, John has also served his professional associations as a Director and President of the Canadian Air Traffic Control Association, and Executive Vice President Finance of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations, representing controllers in 135 nations, worldwide. John hopes the knowledge and skills he has learned through work in his professional associations will help serve CCS in the areas of governance and finance.

John is married with three daughters who all live in Caledon. In his off-time he tests new recipes on the girls and their partners, dabbles in photography, and can be found wandering the forests at Glen Eagle and other area golf courses in search of the ever-elusive white orb.

John is looking forward to working with the other board members, staff, and countless volunteers at CCS with a view of "helping people help themselves".
